Councillor at Large Appointed

On May 22nd, Council held a special meeting to hear from all the candidates who had submitted their candidacy for the vacant position of Councillor at Large. 

Each candidate was given some time to answer a few questions and clarify their intent and qualifications for the position.

Later in the meeting, Council passed a motion to appoint Kevin van den Oetelaar to the vacant position. He will be sworn in at the next regular Council meeting: Tuesday, May 28th.

Council advertised to seek candidates willing to fill the vacant Council seat for the remainder of the term to October 2014 following the death of long serving councillor Gary Shepherd.
