The Regional Incentives Program (RIP) is part of a broad, progressive framework that supports regional economic growth. The RIP is incorporated as part of the North Glengarry CIP and offers additional economic development tools to existing businesses. The SDG Regional Tourism Grant Program is designed to help existing businesses and organizations increase visitation to Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry's tourism attractions.
This fund provides cost-share funding to farmers to support the implementation of best management practices to tackle climate change through reducing emissions of GHGs and supporting increased carbon sequestration. Cost-share support to farmers is available under the project categories of nitrogen management, cover cropping, and rotational grazing. More information may be found here.
This initiative provides cost-share funding to support farmers to accelerate the adoption of best management practices supporting soil health, water quality and productivity benefits on agricultural land across Ontario. This program provides funding to support Ontario farmers in making their agricultural lands more productive and resilient. The Program provides funding to support projects to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and sequester carbon. Projects will focus on Natural grassland establishment, perennial biomass crops, perennial warm season pastures, reduced tillage, tree and shrub planting, water retention features, and wetlands.
