For more than 125 years people from all over Glengarry gather at the Maxville fairgrounds for the annual Maxville Fair. Established in 1889, this three-day event is packed with a wide range of entertainment and activities: Awesome rides, carnival games on the midway and a variety of agricultural exhibitions such as the Homecraft division, where members of the Kenyon Agricultural Society enter assorted arts & crafts, baked goods and potted plants into the contest in the hopes of winning cash prizes. Members also showcase their cows in the Holstein 4-H show and their horses in the Western & English horse shows.
Visitors can enjoy the petting zoo, Highland dance competition, live country music, and so much more. There is something for everybody to enjoy at the Maxville Fair.
