HVAC UPDATE

The HVAC installation was successfully completed in the Fall 2022 at the Maxville & Distrct Sports Complex. The addition of these units to the cement surface on the arena side will extend the use of the facility to the spring and summer months. This project was possible due to a grant received from the Ontario Trillium Foundation in the amount of $490,600 which covered the totality of the project.

Maxville & District Sports Complex officially opened in May of 1978.  The building was financed through a fund raising drive which combined donations and grants from local governments, service clubs, and other community organizations.  Reputed to be one of the best ice surfaces in Eastern Ontario, the indoor arena has an ice surface that is NHL regulation size.  The building was officially named the 'Osie F. Villeneuve Arena' to commemorate his hard work in securing funds from the Ontario Government. The facility includes two soccer fields and one micro field.  The baseball diamond, to the north-west of the building, and the children's playground graciously donated by a community member.

The Complex is located at 25 Fair Street, Maxville, Ontario K0C 1T0

Telephone: (613) 527-5659

The facility is also available for corporate events, conventions, annual association meetings, trade shows, auctions, receptions and parties.
