SDG Regional Programs

The Regional Incentives Program (RIP) is part of a broad, progressive framework that supports regional economic growth. The RIP is incorporated as part of the North Glengarry CIP and offers additional economic development tools to existing businesses. Find all the details and the application form on the SDG Regional Incentives Program funding page. 

The SDG Regional Tourism Grant Program is designed to help existing businesses and organizations increase visitation to Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry's tourism attractions. 

Agricultural Programs and Resources

This program provides funding to support Ontario farmers in making their agricultural lands more productive and resilient. The Program provides funding to support projects to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and sequester carbon. Projects will focus on Natural grassland establishment, perennial biomass crops, perennial warm season pastures, reduced tillage, tree and shrub planting, water retention features, and wetlands. You can read more on the initiative here. The intake period is open until all funding has been allocated.

Municipal Industrial Properties Available for Development

Municipally-Owned Vacant Land For Development

The Township of North Glengarry owns more than 120 acres of prime serviced land on the western edge of Alexandria. This large parcel is currently zoned for a mix of industrial and residential use and can be customized to suit most business opportunities.

Plans are underway to prepare the lots for development with a number of adaptable parcels that would allow both smaller incubation-style businesses and larger industrial or commercial establishments.

Preliminary plans are available at the Township which has a state of the art GIS system that can rapidly plot and print custom maps for potential investors.
