The North Glengarry Evening of Excellence is an event to showcase the success and growth within the Township. Please join us for an evening of celebration with fellow business owners and community members!
The Evening of Excellence Awards is a celebration of North Glengarry's greater community and the businesses and organizations who contribute to the continued growth and development in the Township.
The Evening of Excellence will feature highlights progress made in the past year, including new businesses, upgrades at major venues, funding success stories, and other community updates.
Nominations for the 2026 Evening of Excellence are now open! Nominations must be received by Monday, August 3, 2026 at 4:00 PM.
2026 Award Categories
CITIZEN OF THE YEAR AWARD: This award will be given to a Citizen of North Glengarry who provides an outstanding contribution to their community. The achievement may include community service, business, or industry labour, sports, art, culture, education, heritage conservation or environment.
COMMUNITY SERVICE AWARD: This award recognizes an individual or group of volunteers who have demonstrated outstanding dedication and commitment to serving the North Glengarry community. Through their volunteer efforts, they have helped advance community goals, made meaningful contributions to local initiatives, and enhanced the quality of life and well-being of residents. This award honours those who have generously given their time, skills, and energy over the past year and whose efforts have made a positive and lasting impact on the community.
BUSINESS OF THE YEAR AWARD: This award is presented to a Business in North Glengarry who has demonstrated superior service to customers and to communities, excellence in business management, and extra effort towards the betterment of the Township of North Glengarry.
EXCELLENCE IN AGRICULTURE AWARD: This award is given to an outstanding agricultural farm, family or organization who has demonstrated excellence in areas of agricultural operations and business management as well as participate in the betterment of the agricultural industry and the betterment of North Glengarry.
YOUTH OF THE YEAR AWARD: This award recognizes a young resident of North Glengarry who has demonstrated exceptional leadership, initiative, and commitment to improving their community. The recipient must be 18 years of age or younger as of September 1, 2026, and have made meaningful contributions through volunteer service, community involvement, advocacy, mentorship, or participation in local projects and initiatives. This award celebrates youth who have gone above and beyond expectations, serving as positive role models and making a significant impact on the quality of life within North Glengarry.
NORTH GLENGARRY LEADER UNDER 40 AWARD: This award celebrates the outstanding achievements of young leaders who are making a meaningful impact in North Glengarry. This award recognizes individuals under the age of 40 who demonstrate exceptional leadership, innovation, and dedication to public service, community development, or cultural preservation.
CHAMPION OF CULTURE AND HERITAGE AWARD: An award for an individual or group that has demonstrated a focus on preserving and celebrating heritage, fostering community pride, encouraging conservation, and highlighting the richness of local history and culture.
LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD: This award recognizes an individual whose lifelong commitment to volunteerism, community service, and civic engagement has made a lasting and meaningful impact on the Township of North Glengarry. The nominee is a long-time resident who has consistently demonstrated exceptional dedication to improving the quality of life for others through their leadership, generosity, and service. Through years of selfless contributions, they have helped strengthen the community, inspired others to become involved, and left a legacy of positive change that will benefit North Glengarry for generations to come.
LEGACY AWARD: This award recognizes a business, organization, institution, or family that has demonstrated a longstanding commitment to the North Glengarry community through years of service, investment, and community leadership. The recipient has achieved a significant milestone, such as a major anniversary or multi-generational presence, while consistently giving back through sponsorships, donations, volunteerism, mentorship, community partnerships, or other contributions that have enriched the lives of local residents. This award celebrates those whose enduring presence, community spirit, and lasting impact have helped shape the character, prosperity, and success of North Glengarry, leaving a legacy that will be appreciated for generations to come
