Public Consultation on New Public Aerodrome in Vankleek Hill

As required under Canadian Aviation Regulation (CAR) 307.04(1), this letter is to formally notify you of the establishment of a new public-use aerodrome in the township of North Glengarry, adjacent to Herb’s Travel Plaza and near the intersection of County Road 34 and Highway 417. Please refer to the below image showing the location of proposed aerodrome work.

Aerodrome Information:

• Location: 21160 Service Rd, Vankleek Hill, ON K0B 1R0
• Coordinates: 45°27′43″ N, 74°40′40″ W (Decimal: 45.4619, -74.6778)
• Runway 17/35 – Grass surface
• RWY 17: 2,000 ft (displaced threshold)
• RWY 35: 3,000 ft
• Width: 100 ft
• Infrastructure: Windsock, private hangar, aircraft parking
• Obstacles: Powerlines located at north end of runway, marked with red safety balls

The expected start date for the proposed aerodrome work is November 24th, 2025.
The expected end date for the proposed aerodrome work is November 26th, 2025.
