Road Work

County Road 22
SDG Counties is undertaking a significant rehabilitation of County Road 22, with crews mobilizing traffic control measures on or about April 28. The project is expected to be completed by the end of October. Learn more here.

Centre Street Bridge, Alexandria
Beginning July 14, a section of Centre St from Bishop Street South to Sandfield Avenue South will be closed for bridge reconstruction.

Main Street, Alexandria
Beginning the week of September 15th weather dependent, the sidewalks on the east side of Main Street Between the VIA rail tracks and Elgin St will undergo reconstruction. This work is anticipated to take four to six weeks to complete, weather dependent. Residents will have temporary gravel access to their entranceways for the duration of the work but there will be no access to entranceways once the cement has been poured until it has cured. The contractor will notify residents in advance. This step will only last one to two days.
