The Township of North Glengarry Council and staff wish to share their deepest sympathies with the McDonell family with the passing of former North Glengarry Mayor, Chris McDonell.

Heritage Designation By-law advisory dated Tuesday, October 15, 2024

TAKE NOTICE that as of October 15, 2024, the Council of The Corporation of the Township of North Glengarry has passed by-laws to designate a series of properties under Section 29 of the Ontario Heritage Act, R.S.O. 1990, c. O.18, as amended, as properties of cultural heritage value and interest in the Township of North Glengarry in the United Counties of Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry.

The Township of North Glengarry would like to announce that Anne Leduc, Director of Community Services, will be leaving the Township to pursue her new role as Executive Director of Glengarry Inter Agency Group (GIAG).

Alexandria, September 3, 2024 – The Township of North Glengarry (Township) has reached a tentative agreement with SEIU Local 2 of the Brewery General and Professional Workers’ Union (SEIU) which represents Recreation staff at the Township.

Recreation Union Members to Strike 

Please be advised that effective today, August 23, 2024, the union representing the recreation staff, SEIU Local 2, has opted to exercise its legal right to strike.
