Angus Wallace Hope Community Garden Now Open
The Angus Wallace Hope Community Garden has been planted to provide fresh vegetables for community members to enjoy at no cost. An assortment of vegetables is available throughout the growing season. Residents are welcome to visit the garden and harvest.
The garden was named in memory of Angus Wallace 'Wally' Hope (1930-2026) in recognition of his lifelong dedication to North Glengarry.
Wally Hope was a respected businessman, community volunteer, charter member of the Alexandria and District Lions Club, and supporter of local sports and passionate advocate for community development. His contributions helped shape Alexandria and improve the quality of life for numerous residents.
In partnership with the Alexandria and District Lions Club, plans are underway to further enhance and expand the garden in the coming years, creating an even greater community resource for residents.
