Important reminder about municipal election signs

Over the past few days, the Township has received reports from multiple candidates that election signs have been removed, damaged, or otherwise interfered with.

Election signs that are lawfully placed are protected under the Township's Election Sign By-law, which includes provisions regarding the removal, alteration, defacement, or damage of election signs.

If you experience, witness, or have information regarding election sign theft, damage, vandalism, or other interference, please notify both the Township and the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP). If available, please provide photographs, video footage, or any other information that may assist with an investigation.

The Township has advised the OPP of the reports received and will continue to monitor the situation.
