Try Hockey Program

The Try Hockey Program is a partnership between the Alexandria Minor Hockey Association (AMHA) and the Township of North Glengarry, designed specifically for children who have never been registered in minor hockey before.

This fun, beginner-friendly program gives new players the opportunity to get on the ice, learn fundamental hockey skills, and experience the game in a safe, supportive, and welcoming environment. It is the perfect introduction to hockey and a great first step before joining AMHA for a full season of minor hockey.

Why Try Hockey?

The best part? If your child joins AMHA after completing the program, the $50 program fee will be credited toward their AMHA registration.

This affordable initiative allows children to discover the sport, build confidence on the ice, and become part of our local hockey community before committing to a full season.

Equipment Required: All participants must wear full hockey equipment. Registration: Registration must be completed through the Township of North Glengarry. Cost: $50 (HST Exempt) for the six sessions For ages 2014-2019 birth years, equivalent U9-U13
