Second Public Consultation - Maxville Lagoon Expansion

The Township of North Glengarry owns and operates the Maxville Lagoon which treats all wastewater collected in the Village of Maxville.  The flows generated within the collection system have increased and are approached the rated capacity of the Lagoons.  The Township is initiating the environmental assessment process to determine the preferred solution to providing an increased capacity to the Village of Maxville.

The project is being planned following the Schedule C process in the Municipal Class Environmental Assessment 2024.

A Public Consultation Center has been arranged to review and receive input from the public about the alternate solutions, and Preferred Design. The format of the Public Consultation Centre will be an informal open house held in the meeting room above the library, located at 2 Spring Street:

Date: June 25th, 2026

Time: 4:00pm to 6:00pm

If you are not available to attend the Public Consultation Centre you may request a PDF copy of the presentation boards from Timothy Wright, Director of Public Works, Township of North Glengarry.
